IMPLEMENTATION OF CRYPTOGRAPHY USING AES-128 ALGORITHM

Nowadays, the development of computer and telecommunication technology is increasingly making human activities easier, one of which is sending information quickly from one place to another. The process of sending information between one party to another needs to pay attention to the confidentiality of data and information so that their confidentiality is guaranteed. To overcome the problem of data and information confidentiality, it is deemed necessary to use cryptography as data and information security. Using the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) Method for securing text data. The tool used in implementing the encryption and decryption of this text file uses visual basic software and the methods used in cryptography, namely AES 128. Based on the results obtained after conducting several experiments and applying encryption and decryption using AES 128, it is obtained that the original message (plaintext) encrypted using Rijndael (AES) 128 can be encrypted properly, this is evident from the resulting message cannot be encrypted. read by the user, then after the message is decrypted, it will return like plaintext and can be read the message. In addition to the capacity and time of the encryption and decryption process where the results obtained that the message after encryption will be greater in terms of file capacity while for speed
